In 2000 in order to add better value to our production we launched construction of electric steel-making works, its capacity amounting to 120 thousand tons of square steel billets per year. Construction was finished in the shortest possible amount of time – 16 months.
Starting from 2002 till March, 2005 our factory had producing steel billets in sizes 100x100mm and 120x120mm standard-quality carbon steel.
Since April 2005 till February 2006 the factory was reconstructed implementing new equipment by STB Company for steel production and the innovative gas purification system by TECOAER (Italy). Full capacity made up 360 thousand tons of square cast per annum. In order to provide increased production with sufficient raw materials, we stopped metal scrap export and established the network of procurement areas in the region and Southern Federal district.
Today “NOVOROSMETALL” Ltd is a group which comprises scrap-processing, haulage, supplying and servicing companies.
